Greenfield Hills, Westport
After years of reluctance this couple finally took the plunge into the unknown, remodeling their historic and interesting home. They told me they went through many designers before they found us so I feel honored to have been the right choice for them.
Historical Fairfield
Here is a glorious kitchen we did in a historic home in Fairfield. This old house with high coiffured ceilings in the dining room posed a challenge when removing the wall since we could not damage the existing ceiling in our process. They had a tiny galley kitchen and looks at it now. We knocked down a bearing wall and removed a closet to reveal more space and create an open floor plan with a flow that offers an entertaining atmosphere.

Valley Circle, Fairfield Kitchen Remodel
Dark and cramped to bright and spacious, this Fairfield kitchen remodel’s before and after pictures reveal a huge transformation. The first 6 pics reveal a dark stained original cabinet and very little light with many shadows which tortured the owner for many years before they could take on this endeavor. The following 6 pics show a bright an airy kitchen that does not compute to the prior 6. It’s a completely different kitchen but we maintained the perimeter walls…no additions, just manipulations. Thanks to the Perman’s for trusting us with their home.
This once small and dark kitchen shown above had bad lighting and cramped quarters.By widening the doorway to the adjacent dining room and picking up some additional floor space due to poor original construction we were able to open it up, maximize storage, add light and allow this family to entertain and feel great about their new kitchen. Engineering was required in an inconspicuous place and floor space was added while a kitchen table was removed. A range and microwave over the hood save storage space. The good sized island serves as a sitting area now open to a cool and casual dining room with wainscot trim accents.
Dated colonial in New Canaan from drab to Fab!
The next kitchen shown below, located in New Canaan, CT was demolished before I showed up to take before pics however I can tell you it was not ideal. A huge sliding glass door was removed, dining room doorway was widened and locations of all the appliances were updated. Starting fresh was nice and easy for this large rectangular space with traffic flow coming in family room, hallway and dining room. Creating my client’s inspiring vision was my challenge but I think we nailed it, Great job Tara!!!

Fairfield Kitchen Remodel
Jillian and Adam’s Kitchen Remodel…..Living in NYC on bed rest, Jillian managed to oversee her dream kitchen in Fairfield, CT…amazing! With help from her beloved family and Lifestyle Kitchen & Bath Design, we were able to move them in just before the baby was born. Knocked down a wall, built up the floor in porch area, removed all that tile floor, UGH. The sink and range stayed in the same locations but we changed to a cooktop and double oven set up and ran a gas line to the cooktop. We shirred up the floor from below due to insufficient framing removing the bounce in the kitchen floor. New windows and doors too. We did it, with love and just in time… Enjoy the transformation!!
BEFORE….POOR NEGLECTED KITCHEN 😥
AFTER……CLEAN LINES AND SIMPLE, CASUAL RUSTIC LIVING WITH CHARACTER 😉
